Vibrant™ is a special herbal blend that boosts and refreshes the body's energy, stamina and vitality. It also enhances mental awareness. In TCM, it tonifies yuan (source) qi and awakens the shen (spirit).

The pattern this fits

Fatigue that is foggy rather than heavy. The patient can function but feels dulled, slow to start, mentally blunted, running on less than they used to. Yuan qi is the constitutional reserve, and when it is low the person is not sick so much as diminished.

Huang Qi and Ci Wu Jia do the tonifying. Ji Xue Cao supports clarity. Cha Ye lifts and clears the head.

It contains tea leaf, so it contains caffeine

Cha Ye is camellia leaf. That is green tea, and it carries caffeine. This is the most practical thing to know about this formula and it is easy to miss in the ingredient list.

Take it in the morning or early afternoon. Taking it after about 2pm will affect sleep in a lot of people, and if you already sleep badly the fatigue you are treating will get worse rather than better.

If you are sensitive to caffeine, on stimulant medication, or managing palpitations or anxiety, this is the wrong energy formula and there are better options in the line.

Before you start

  • Fatigue has a long differential. Thyroid, ferritin, B12, sleep apnea and blood sugar all produce this picture, and none of them respond to a qi tonic. Worth ruling out first, and I go through the relevant panels in this piece on thyroid testing and this one on fasting insulin.
  • If the exhaustion is wired-and-tired with a broken cortisol rhythm, a stimulating formula is the wrong lever. That pattern is covered in reading your cortisol curve.
  • Not a substitute for sleep. Nothing in this formula replaces the hours.
  • Not for use during pregnancy.
