ROSE OTTO - Rejuvenating Face Cream

Also known as: Rose Otto Face Cream, Rose Otto Rejuvenating Cream, Organic Rose Otto Rejuvenating Face Cream, Damask Rose Face Cream.

A bakuchiol cream for mature or reactive skin that cannot tolerate a retinoid. Damask rose wax and rose otto oil carry the scent, safflower and kiwi seed oil give it slip, and it stays gentle enough for skin that flares at almost everything.

What's doing the work

• Bakuchiol, from Psoralea corylifolia. In a randomised double-blind trial it performed comparably to 0.5% retinol on photoageing over 12 weeks, with less scaling and stinging (Dhaliwal S et al, British Journal of Dermatology 2019;180(2):289-296). Worth knowing: bakuchiol is not a psoralen, so it does not carry the photosensitivity that the rest of that plant is known for.
• Rosa damascena flower wax and flower oil, the actual rose otto rather than a fragrance blend.
• Rose hip seed and kiwi seed oil for essential fatty acids, with sodium hyaluronate holding water at the surface.

How to use

Morning and evening after cleansing. Massage into face and neck. Patch test before the first full application.
