Herbal ABX™ contains a unique blend of Southeast Asian herbs that supports healthy immune activity. This formula is designed to be used with other Evergreen Collection formulas for maximum effectiveness. In TCM, it clears heat and eliminates toxins; it also purges fire and drains damp-heat.

What this formula is, and what it is not

The name is shorthand for the herb category, not a claim about the product. In Chinese medicine these are heat-clearing, toxin-resolving herbs, a category that has been used for inflammatory and infectious presentations for centuries. That is a pattern-based description, not a pharmacological one.

This is not an antibiotic and it does not replace one. If you have a diagnosed bacterial infection, take the antibiotic you were prescribed. If you have a fever that is climbing, spreading redness, severe throat pain, or you are getting worse rather than better, that needs medical assessment today.

The pattern this fits

Damp-heat with toxin. Clinically that looks like heat that is thick rather than dry: yellow or green discharge, a coated tongue, foul-smelling output, skin lesions that are red and weeping, a rapid slippery pulse. It is heat with substance to it.

Huang Lian anchors the formula and is one of the most bitter, cold herbs in the pharmacopoeia. Pu Gong Ying and Da Qing Ye clear toxin. The Southeast Asian herbs (Feng Wei Cao, Xian Feng Cao, Ya She Huang) extend the range beyond the classical Chinese repertoire.

Evergreen designed it to be layered with other Collection formulas rather than used alone, which is worth knowing before you order it on its own.

Before you start

  • Cold and bitter formulas are hard on a weak digestion. Loose stools, nausea or cold in the abdomen means stop and reassess rather than push through.
  • Not for the pale, cold, deficient presentation. Clearing heat that is not there depletes.
  • Short courses. This is not a formula to sit on for months.
  • Not for use during pregnancy.
