TCM actions: Sedates Liver yang, extinguishes internal wind, nourishes yin, anchors floating yang.

Commonly used for: Liver yang rising with internal wind: dizziness, vertigo, a distending headache, tinnitus, a flushed face, irritability, and in severe cases facial asymmetry, slurred speech, or unsteady gait.

Tongue and pulse: Red tongue. Wiry, long, forceful pulse.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
