TCM actions: Spreads Liver qi, strengthens the Spleen, stops painful diarrhea.

Commonly used for: Liver overacting on the Spleen: abdominal pain that leads to an urgent loose stool with relief afterward, recurrent alternating bowel habits, borborygmus, and symptoms clearly triggered by stress.

Tongue and pulse: Thin white coat. Wiry on the left, moderate on the right.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
