Suan Zao Ren Tang (Zizyphus Combination)

TCM actions: Nourishes Liver blood, clears deficiency heat, calms the shen.

Commonly used for: Liver blood deficiency with heat disturbing the shen: waking in the early hours and unable to return to sleep, irritability, palpitations, night sweats, dizziness, and a dry mouth and throat.

Tongue and pulse: Red tongue with a thin dry coat. Wiry, thin, rapid pulse.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
