Gan Mai Da Zao Tang (Licorice & Jujube Combination)

TCM actions: Nourishes the Heart, calms the shen, harmonizes the middle jiao, moderates urgency.

Commonly used for: Zang zao: emotional lability, unprovoked weeping, restlessness, frequent yawning and stretching, disordered sleep, difficulty settling. Long used through the menopausal transition and in children with night terrors.

Tongue and pulse: Red tongue with little coat. Thin, rapid pulse.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
