TCM actions: Warms Kidney yang, replenishes jing, drains Kidney fire, regulates the chong and ren.

Commonly used for: The menopausal transition where both yin and yang are depleted: hot flushes with cold feet, night sweats, irritability, insomnia, irregular or ceasing menses, low back soreness, and blood pressure that has become unstable.

Tongue and pulse: Pale or red tongue. Thin, wiry pulse.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
