TCM actions: Dispels wind-damp, relieves painful obstruction, tonifies Liver and Kidney, nourishes qi and blood.

Commonly used for: Chronic bi syndrome in a deficient patient: heavy aching pain and stiffness of the lower back, hips, and knees, weakness of the legs, symptoms worse with cold and damp and relieved by warmth. Common in older patients and long-standing injury.

Tongue and pulse: Pale tongue with a white coat. Thin, weak pulse.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
