Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang (Pinellia Combination)

TCM actions: Harmonizes the middle jiao, descends rebellious qi, disperses clumping, clears heat and dries dampness.

Commonly used for: Epigastric focal distension that is full but soft to the touch, nausea and vomiting, borborygmus, diarrhea, reduced appetite. The classic mixed cold and heat presentation of the middle jiao.

Tongue and pulse: Thin, yellow, greasy coat. Wiry, rapid pulse.

Dosing: Standard adult dose is 6 to 10 g of granules per day, or 12 capsules per day, divided. Acute or severe presentations may go higher. Your dose is set on your intake, not on the bottle.
