ZI CAO RUN CHUN GAO - Moisturising Lip Balm

Also known as: Zi Cao Run Chun Gao, Moisturising Lip Balm.

A lip balm with the same two herbs as the Zi Cao creams: Dang Gui and redroot. Seventeen ingredients, no water, no preservative system beyond the tocopherol.

For lips that split, peel and stay sore rather than lips that are just dry.

What's doing the work

• Zi Cao (Arnebia euchroma) and Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis), the classical pair for a surface that is not repairing.
• Squalane and jojoba, both close to what skin makes itself.
• Camellia and castor oil for the film that stays put on lips.
• Bisabolol to settle the soreness.

How to use

Apply 3 to 5 times a day, and more often if lips are actively peeling.

Pairs well with

Where the skin around the mouth is involved too, Run Ji Gao or Ma Chi Xian Shui Gao on the perioral area.

Good to know

• 10ml. Fill sizes vary between suppliers even though the formula is the same.
• Not vegan. Contains polyglyceryl-3 beeswax. Halal.
• Contains shea. Avoid if you have a tree nut allergy.
• Contains linalool, limonene, geraniol and benzyl benzoate from the rosewood oil. Patch test if fragrance is usually a problem for you.
• This goes on lips, so it will be swallowed in small amounts. Nothing in it is a concern at that level, but worth knowing.
• For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.
