ZI CAO DAN PI SHUI GAO - Nourishing Peony Cream

Also known as: Zi Cao Dan Pi Shui Gao, Nourishing Peony Cream.

Zi Cao Shui Gao with tree peony added. Same pink emollient base, same job, with paeonol high in the list to cool blood alongside the moistening.

Use it where the skin is dry and depleted but still running hot underneath. The plain Zi Cao Shui Gao is the one for dryness without the heat.

What's doing the work

• Paeonol, the principal active of Mu Dan Pi (tree peony root bark), at position 9. This is the addition the name refers to.
• Zi Cao (Arnebia euchroma) and Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis), the classical blood pairing that gives the cream its colour.
• Jojoba, shea and cocoa butter for the barrier, with evening primrose and kiwi seed for fatty acids.
• Urea and allantoin to soften, bisabolol and chamomile for the sting.

How to use

Apply 3 to 5 times a day, face or body.
