Also known as: Qu Ba You, Scar Oil, Conditioning Scar Oil. Dermatology M sells the identical formula under the Conditioning Scar Oil name.
A jojoba and sunflower oil base carrying 13 botanical extracts and resins, most of them blood-invigorating. Myrrh and frankincense are the two you will smell.
This is a massage oil, not a cream. It wants to be worked into the area rather than patted on.
What's doing the work
- Mo Yao (myrrh) and Ru Xiang (olibanum, frankincense), the classical pair for moving blood and dispersing stasis. They have been used together for this exact purpose for roughly 2,000 years.
- Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis), Hong Hua (safflower), Qian Cao (Rubia cordifolia, madder) and Bai Shao (white peony) carry the blood-moving side of the formula.
- Zi Cao (Arnebia euchroma) and Di Yu (Sanguisorba officinalis), both classical for surface repair.
- Jojoba seed oil is the carrier, structurally close to human sebum, so it absorbs rather than sitting on top.
- Borneol and camphor are the penetrants and the reason it has a sharp, cooling smell.
How to use
Massage into the area 2 to 3 times a day. Give it a minute of actual friction rather than a quick smear. Hands, feet and body only.
