Also known as: Huang Lian Shui, Skin Healing Gel.
A water-based gel, no oils in it at all. Coptis and Hu Zhang with calamine and aloe, and borneol to carry it.
It dries down rather than sitting on the surface, which is what you want on skin that is already damp.
What's doing the work
- Huang Lian (Coptis chinensis) clears heat and dries damp.
- Hu Zhang (Polygonum cuspidatum, Japanese knotweed), the same root that leads the Hu Zhang Shui gel.
- Lu Gan Shi (smithsonite), the classical mineral behind calamine, for the drying and settling.
- Aloe vera and glycerin keep it from tightening, with Bing Pian (borneol) as the penetrant.
How to use
Apply to clean skin and let it dry.
Pairs well with
Follow with Zi Cao Shui Gao once dry if the skin needs moisture back.
