HUANG LIAN DI - Ear Drops

Also known as: Huang Lian Di, Ear Drops.

Five ingredients. Coptis in a glycerin and ethanol base, and nothing else.

Glycerin rather than oil, so it does not leave the canal greasy.

What's doing the work

• Huang Lian (Coptis chinensis) is the whole formula. It clears heat and dries damp, and it is the classical choice for a hot, damp, itchy ear canal.

How to use

Follow the dosing your practitioner gives you. Warm the bottle in your hand first so the drops are not cold going in.

Full ingredients

Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Vegetable Glycerin, Ethanol, Water (Aqua), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

• 10ml.
• Vegan.
• Do not use if the eardrum is perforated or you are unsure whether it is. That needs looking at first.
• Contains ethanol, so it will sting on a broken surface.
• Coptis is a strong yellow dye and will mark a pillowcase.
• Best used under the guidance of a qualified Chinese herbalist.
