Also known as: Hong Hua You, Red Flower Trauma Oil, Restorative Body Oil, Muscle & Tendon Oil.

Nine ingredients in a jojoba base. Frankincense, myrrh, safflower and Dang Gui, with borneol and camphor for the cooling hit.

A massage oil for muscles and joints after exertion. Work it in rather than patting it on.

What's doing the work

  • Hong Hua (Carthamus tinctorius, safflower) is the namesake and the classical blood-mover.
  • Ru Xiang (olibanum, frankincense) and Mo Yao (myrrh), paired for moving blood and dispersing stasis for roughly two thousand years.
  • Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) and Bai Shao (Paeonia lactiflora) nourish while the others move.
  • Rou Gui (cassia bark) warms, and borneol and camphor give it the sharp, cooling smell.

How to use

Massage into muscles and joints with firm, circular movements. Good after exercise.
