Also known as: Gan Cao Shui Gao, Licorice Cream.
A licorice cream with urea high in the list, so it softens as well as soothes. Gentle enough to be a daily moisturiser for reactive skin.
This is the least confrontational cream in the practitioner range. When you are not sure how much a patient's skin will tolerate, start here.
What's doing the work
- Gan Cao (Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Chinese licorice) is the namesake. It harmonises and softens, and it is the classical herb for skin that reacts to everything.
- Urea, second on the list, which both hydrates and gently loosens thickened surface.
- Bisabolol, the calming fraction of chamomile, with allantoin and panthenol.
- Jojoba, shea, cocoa butter and evening primrose for the base.
How to use
Apply as often as the skin asks for it.
Pairs well with
Layers under or over most of the range without arguing with anything.
