Also known as: Da Huang Gao, Healing Hand Ointment, Rhubarb Ointment.
Eight ingredients in a jojoba and beeswax base. No water, no preservative system. Da Huang leads, with Bai Ji, Dang Gui and Zi Cao behind it.
An overnight product for hands. It works considerably better under occlusion.
What's doing the work
- Da Huang (Rheum palmatum, rhubarb root) is the namesake and the lead.
- Bai Ji (Bletilla striata) as a root powder, classical for a raw or split surface.
- Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) and Zi Cao (Arnebia euchroma) for the blood side.
- Bing Pian (borneol) as the penetrant.
How to use
Apply at night and cover with cotton mittens or gloves. The occlusion is the point, not an optional extra.
Pairs well with
Run Zu Shui Gao during the day, where the skin needs urea to soften built-up surface.
